Since today is the last day of May, I wanted to share the ten books I read this month.
My most highly anticipated read, “A Court of Wings and Ruin” by Sarah J. Maas, came out on May 2nd. I stayed up all night to read it. That was the very first all-nighter I ever pulled to read a book. My Mom also sent me a personalized book locket which featured one of my favorite quotes from the book.
I was sent ARE copies to review for Netgalley “When A Wolf Is Hungry” by Christine Naumann-Villemin, “Raising Resilience” by Christopher Willard, and “The Ancient Path of Dreaming” by Stephen Larsen. The reviews for these books will be made available, as always, a month prior to their release date.
Also through Netgalley, two specific reads I was very excited about for different reasons: I was able to read “Downward Dog” by Samm Hodges and granted the coveted auto-approval status for future publications by the publisher: Animal Media Group LLC. Yay for that!
The second read I was stoked to get approved for to review was “Body on Baker Street” by Vicki Delany. It is the second in her Sherlock Bookshop Mystery Series. The first one was especially dear to my heart as it was the very first Netgalley book I was approved for and got to review. The review on this will post closer to release as well.
For book club, the book of choice was “Big Fish” by Daniel Wallace. My friend loaned me a copy she had gotten from the library. The review is posted. Speaking of libraries…
The three library reads for the month were “GirlBoss” by Sophia Armoruso (eBook), “The Diviners” by Libba Bray (Audio), and “A Shadow Bright and Burning” by Jessica Cluess (Hardcover). All three of these reviews are published and can be found here on my blog.
And that is it!
I am excited to dive into June!
What did YOU read in May?!
